IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Estella Z.
Corralez
October 5, 1932 – March 20, 2017
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Estella Z. Corralez, born October 5, 1932, was called home by the Lord on March 20, 2017 at the age 84, from her home in Seguin with her children at her side. Estella was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. As a young bride she moved from her home in San Antonio to Marshall , Michigan where she started a new life with her husband Manuel Corralez; they were married for 56 years. Together they made their home, built a successful business, raised six children and enjoyed many wonderful years in Marshall. One of her crowning personal achievements was receiving her high school diploma in 1979. When Estella put her mind to something, it got done! Upon retirement she and Manual moved back to Texas to be closer to their Texas family settling in Seguin on a small ranch. Estella loved entertaining family and friends at the ranch where all were always welcome. Their home on the hill, surrounded by their beloved cattle, bluebonnets and wildflowers welcomed anyone, at any time, with a country hospitality that always made one feel relaxed and renewed. Estella also loved music, dancing, bowling, estate sales, reading the newspaper and sending clippings of stories and recipes to her family and friends; and she particularly enjoyed RV traveling with her husband. She was an extraordinary lady of many talents and abilities who loved all her family with a deep abiding love.
Estella is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Corralez; daughter, Rebecca Van Buren; parents Santiago and Francisca Zapata; brother, Ramon Zapata; sisters, Juanita Resendez, Ofelia Vargas, Consuelo Vargas, Dora De La Cruz, Elfida Zapata, Ernestina Mitchell.
