Estelle Ann Herbold Illhardt, age 84 of Seguin, passed away on June 19, 2018. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Emanuel's Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. with Willie Spreen officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery. Estelle was born on January 20, 1934 in Seguin, Texas, to Henry Fred and Hedwig (Greiner) Herbold. She was a lifelong member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church and was actively involved in the Ladies Aid. Estelle will be remembered as a longtime employee of Hexcel Corp. where she worked in the Human Resources department. Always willing to serve, Estelle enjoyed twenty years as a Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Volunteer and enjoyed a forty plus year membership in the Zonta Club of Seguin. She and Carl bowled many times at the Zorn Bowling Club. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Roland J. Herbold, Marvin H. Herbold, and John H. Herbold, sister, Lucille H. Krenz; her brothers-in-law, Ernst Kleinschmidt, Pete Schievelbein and John Whitwell; sisters-in-law, Ruth Herbold, Helen Herbold, Linda Dolle, Erna Trenkelbach, Erma Illhardt and Mathilda Bode. Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Carl W. Illhardt; daughter, Kimberly Ann Illhardt; son, Alan D. Illhardt and wife Sharon; grandson, Brandon A. Illhardt; brother, Leroy R. Herbold and wife Goldie; sisters, Nola Kleinschmidt, Lorene Schievelbein, Lydia Whitwell, and Hazel Kutac and husband Kenneth; brother-in-law, Calvin Krenz; sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Herbold; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
