Esther Flores Bruce, our beloved mother, age 81 of Seguin, went to be with the Lord and her true love L. G. Bruce on November 13, 2014. A memorial service celebrating Esther's life will be held at First Baptist Church on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Private interment held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Esther was born on September 19, 1933 in San Marcos Texas to Rev. Jose and Augustina Flores. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, L. G. Bruce, her parents and her brothers, Sam Flores, Eleazar Flores and Juan Flores and her sisters, Rachel Renteria and Rebecca Black. Survivors include her children, Eric J. Bruce and wife Katie, Jennifer C. Schriewer and husband Tommy and Elizabeth A. Casarez; grandchildren, Erica Bruce, Courtney and Trevor Spradling, Christian Schriewer, Jeramie and Lee Sanchez, Caleb and Lisa Casarez and Cole and Nicole Casarez; great-granddaughters, Addison and Kenedi Spradling; sister, Frances Patlan; brothers, Daniel Flores and Joe Flores and wife Oralia; special niece, Thalia Stautzenberger and husband Mark; numerous other nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends that she loved deeply; and not to be forgotten, her beloved dachshund, Benson.
