Eunice Schriewer Schneider, age 83 of Seguin, passed away on March 26, 2015. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Eunice will also lie in state on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 3 p.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Eunice was born on December 18, 1931 in New Braunfels, Texas to Percy and Elsie (Treisch) Schriewer. Shortly after graduating from New Braunfels High School, she married the love of her life, Leroy on August 12, 1950. Eunice and Leroy made Seguin their home where she worked as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leroy in 2001, as well as her parents. She is survived by her daughter Deborah New (Roy); son Jeffrey Schneider (Sandra); grandchildren Bryan New (Mona), Terri Mills (Rusty), Joseph Schneider (Lauren), Jarrod Schneider, and Jacob Schneider; great-grandchildren Devon New, Jeremy New (Amy), Hunter Mills, Reagan Mills, and Bryan Thomas New; niece, Juliane Schneider Sullivan; sister Orlean Spears; a close family friend that she considered one of her own, Dr. Terri Quebedeaux; and her faithful companion, her schnauzer, Cappie. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan New, Joseph Schneider, Jarrod Schneider, Jacob Schneider, Devon New, Jeremy New, Hunter Mills, Reagan Mills and Bryan Thomas New. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
