Eustaquio "Caco" Tristan, age 82 of Seguin, went home to the Lord on October 4, 2022.  Caco was born on September 20, 1940 in Lockhart, Texas to Cecilia (Cuellar) and Cipriano Tristan.  After retiring from his Tristan General Contracting business, he was beloved as the general manager at Caco's Holiday Drive Inn, where his warm and generous smile welcomed everyone. He was a musician and Co-Founder of the Seguin 8 -Ball League. He cherished time spent among family and friends, especially watching the Dallas Cowboys! He will be remembered by his generous spirit and his heart of gold!

Caco is preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Molina, his grandson, Jared Herrera, his parents, his brothers, Jesse Fuentes and Benino Tristan.

Survivors include his former wife, Mary Tristan and their loving children, Josie Herrera and husband Johnny, Julie Farr and husband Scott, Mark Tristan and wife Jeannie, Denise Abele and husband Brian, and Eustaquio Tristan, II and wife Gina; siblings, Francisca Marmolejo and husband Enrique, Luis Tristan and wife Dominga, Cipriano Tristan II and wife Isabel, Gabino Tristan and wife Carmenza, and Juan Tristan and wife Virginia; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will begin on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary.  Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
