Eva "Jean" Brumbelow-Eiland, age 92, of Clute, TX, formerly of Belton went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 15, 2014. Visitation will begin on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Church followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. with Rev. Harry Thrasher, Belton First Assembly of God Church and Rev. Mike Rodriguez, Hillcrest Church, officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Daughter of E.L. and Essie Estelle Aber-Smith, Jean was born in Eastland, Texas on August 11, 1921. Jean is preceded in death by her father, E.L. Smith; mother, Essie Estelle Aber-Smith; step-mother, Essie Irene Reaves-Smith; Rev. Robert E. "Bob" Brumbelow, her loving husband of 58 years; her second husband of 11 years, Curtis Eiland; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Jean Brumbelow-Cryer and husband David L. Cryer, Sr.; brothers Dalton Smith and Leroy Smith; sisters Helen Broadway and Leona Hoot. For over 50 years Jean and "Bob" were actively involved in the Assembly of God ministry, pastoring in Belton, Killeen, Seguin and Waco. Survivors include her granddaughter Melissa Shipman and husband Larry; grandson David L. Cryer, Jr.; great-grandchildren Ashley & Kayla Hamilton, Austin Shipman, Kamryn, Caleb and Cole Cryer; brothers Burl Smith and wife Delores; Marvin Smith and wife Ruth; Paul Smith and wife Sandra; sisters, Dorothy Reneau and husband J.W. (Buddy); Geraldine (Gerry) Kirkland and husband Glenn. Jean is also survived by a host of other loving family members and lifetime friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Grimm, Rodney Smith, Daryl Kirkland, Derek Taylor, Mark Westbrook and Johnny Taylor.
