Floyd Gibson Parker
January 11, 1930 - May 20, 2017

Floyd G. Parker, of Seguin, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the age of 87. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 2 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. He was born in Port Lavaca to the late Wallace B. and Laura Parker. Floyd was a Christian who devoted his life to his faith, family, and work. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and Guadalupe Masonic Lodge #109 AF&AM of Seguin. He was retired as a superintendent of Southwestern Materials, working throughout the country for over 50 years, and remained affiliated with the Ironworkers Union. Floyd was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Parker; 5 brothers: R. W., Chris, Jack, Russell, and Warren Parker; 2 sisters, Christine Day Segrest and Aline Vandever; 1st wife, Joann Parker. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Parker; children, Linda (Ron) Easterling of Victoria; Janet (Glen) Elles of Kingston Springs, TN; Dennis (Cindy) Parker of Schertz; Patricia Paschall of Austin; Susan Parker of Austin, and Sherri (Charlie) Hampton of Manor; grandchildren: Amber White of Nashville, TN; April Klendworth (Chad) of Keller, Ryan (Persephone) Mikulec of Inez; Christopher (Debora) Parker of Spring Branch; Jason (Michelle) Parker of Cincinnati, OH; Paige Sartin of Austin; Lindsay Sartin of Austin; Neil Wade of Edna; and Seth Murdock of Ferris; 16 great-grandchildren, as well as 1 great great-grandchild.
