Frances Lillian Kluth Altherr, age 82 of Seguin passed away on March 17, 2024. Frances was born on November 12, 1941, in Guadalupe County, Texas to Norma Mary (Stautzenberger) and Erwin Kluth.
In May 1986, Frances (Kluth) Schwarzlose married Paul Altherr and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage together. With their love of God, they shared a beautiful life.
She and Paul faithfully attended St. James Catholic Church, where she participated in Saint Ann's Circle. They were also members of the American Legion Post #245, where she held many posts in the Ladies Auxiliary. She and Paul loved to go camping and fishing, having many adventures at the state parks. She had a talent for sewing and crocheting, making clothes and blankets for her family. She was a fabulous cook, making delicious holiday meals and family dinners. She also loved gardening, enjoying many plants and flowers in and around their home. But most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, handing down her many talents and creating precious memories.
Frances is preceded in death by her loving husband Paul Altherr, her parents, sisters, Joyce Koepsel and Clara Brownfield, and a baby brother.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Schwarzlose (Dalene), Russ Schwarzlose (Rhonda), and Dwayne Schwarzlose (Suzanne); daughter, Hope Schwarzlose Schneider (William); step-son, Nathan Altherr; step-daughter, Paulette Altherr Cowey (Stephen); grandchildren, Ryan Schwarzlose (Miranda), Katina North, Drew Schwarzlose, Megan Schwarzlose, Garrett Schneider (Eleanor), Lauren Schneider, Keith Schwarzlose (Chandler), Konner Schwarzlose, Mallori Schwarzlose, Madison Schwarzlose, Jessica Altherr Spaulding (Shawn), Derek Altherr, Sean Altherr, Krystle Cowey Gillett (Brandon), and Collin Cowey, great-grandchildren, Scarlett Gillett, Andrew Schwarzlose, Trinity Schwarzlose, Killian Schwarzlose, Sydney North, and Brynlee Mcrea; sister, Virginia Friesenhahn and husband Lawrence; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and many friends.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 9:30 A.M. followed by a memorial service celebrating Frances' life at 10:30 A.M. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the Reverend Jim Price officiating. A reception will be announced at the service.
Private family graveside services and interment will be held in San Geronimo Cemetery prior.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
