Frank H. Guenther, age 80 of Seguin, passed away on July 16, 2013. Visitation will begin on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 3 p.m. followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. with Rev. Richard Mittelstadt officiating. A reception will follow at Grace Lutheran Church. Private interment will follow at a later date. Frank was born in La Grange Texas on July 5, 1933, the oldest child of Frank and Irene Schulz Guenther. He was a member of the Seguin High School Class of 1951. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years and was a member of the American Legion H.U. Wood Post 245 in Seguin. Frank will be remembered as a former owner of the Varsity Inn and most recently owner of Guenther Food Services. He also served as a Texas A & M Extension Agent in Soil Conservation. Frank was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Henry and Martin Guenther. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Yvonne Glauberg Guenther; son, Andrew Guenther and wife Amber; grandchildren and light of his life, Ava Guenther and Nathan Guenther; brother, Matthew Guenther and wife Sue; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Pat Pollack, Ben Guenther and Matt Guenther, Jr. Frank will be remembered by his family and many friends for his servant's heart and his meek and humble spirit.
