Obituary

Frankie John Faldik, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on June 9, 2015. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, June 12, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church beginning with the recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by the mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow in the family center at St. James. Frankie was born in Sweet Home, Texas in July 13, 1925 to Anton and Annie (Raz) Faldik. Frankie proudly served his country in the United States Army having landed on Normandy Beach on Day 1. He owned and operated Faldik's Gulf Station in Seguin for many years. He was formerly active in Seguin Little League where he served as League President. He enjoyed playing dominoes, dancing and all Knights of Columbus and American Legion H U Wood Post 245 activities. Mostly cherished times were spent just being with family and friends. Frankie is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Anton "Tony" Faldik and Joe Faldik, and sister, Olga Ingram. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Miladie Faldik; son Ron Faldik; daughter Nancy Faldik; grandchildren Derek Faldik, and wife Kristine, Jenna Bernhard, and husband Ryan; great grandson Rivers Bernhard; sisters Ann Patek, Edith Siegel, Marie Petersen, Bernadette "Bobbie" Wesch; brother George Faldik and wife Carole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Ryan Bernhard, Jesse Lopez, Rene Sepulveda, John Cuellar, Jr., Marciano Gonzales, and Carl Jaks. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Wright, Basil Karm, Dr. Robert Frets, and Rivers Bernhard. Frankie will be missed and will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 510 S. Camp St., Seguin, TX 78155.
