Frankie H. Kubenka, age 88 of Seguin, passed away on January 29, 2018. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, February 1, 2018 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Frankie was born on August 12, 1929 in Moulton, Texas to Frank W. and Hermina (Barta) Kubenka. He graduated from Moulton High School in 1948 and then served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army. On September 14, 1953 he married the love of his life Albina Patek in the Shiner Catholic Church. His memberships included the Knights of Columbus in Moulton and the American Legion H U Wood Post 245 in Seguin. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John and Edwin Kubenka and his sister, Irene Simper. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Albina M. Kubenka of Seguin, Texas; sons, Gary Wayne Kubenka and Dena of Seguin, Texas, and Frankie James Kubenka and Pat of Lantana, Texas; special granddaughters, Noelle Kubenka of New Braunfels and Kelly Kubenka of Seguin, Texas; sisters, Helen Ulman of Shiner, Texas and Rosie Koudelka of Moulton, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Stanley Ulman, L. A. Simper, Clarence Koudelka, Terry Kubenka, Kenny Patek, Darrell Holub, Billy Patek and Drew Engelke. Honorary pallbearers will be David Davidson, Anthony Patek, Fritz Abrameit and Jeff Schriewer. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church or St. James Catholic School, 510 S.
