George Fredrick "Freddy" Driggers, age 63 of Seguin, passed away on August 25, 2012. Visitation will begin on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post 245 will also be rendered. Private interment will be held at a later date. Freddy was born on August 2, 1949 in Wauchula, Florida to Bryan William Driggers, Jr. and Lottie Faye Wilson Driggers. He was a graduate of Seguin High School Class of 1967. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved classic rock, golf and the family K/N Root Beer Stand. He is preceded in death by his father and his nephew, John Mergele. Survivors include his mother, Lottie Driggers; son, Scott Driggers and wife Angelica; daughter, Michelle Steinberg and husband Noah; grandchildren, Rachel, Adam, Caitlen, Serena, Gavyn, Ali, and Brayden; brothers, Bobby Driggers and wife Dana, and David "Stick" Driggers and wife Carol; nephews, Bryan David Driggers and his son Peyton, and Shawn Mergele; niece, Robbi Craig and husband Matt and their son Jackson; dear friend, Elaine Shields; Freddy's second family at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
