Ronnie lived life to the fullest and always strived to make his family and friends laugh. He and his wife Lucille lived in Arlington, Texas for a period where he was an active member of the Masonic Lodge. He and Lucille enjoyed many trips in their RV. Fishing at the coast and any river were always favorites. Ronnie loved old guns, dirt track racing and watching his favorite football teams, both the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs. Other favorite times included helping his friend Bryan McNutt with folk art pieces.
A lover of music, some of his favorites consisted of Old Country and Old Gospel music especially the Gaithers. When out and about he would go listen to Karoke and followed Paul Sanchez and Wrangler Country where he always requested Freddy Fender's hit song, "Before the Last Teardrop Falls".
Of late he spent time sitting outside enjoying nature, hummingbirds coming and going, and counting buzzards on the ATT Tower. When inside western movies were always a favorite to watch on the television. Good times were also spent gliding on the beach in his wheelchair.
