Geraldine Margaret Turner Brawner, age 92 of Seguin, passed away on June 10, 2014. Visitation will begin on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Geraldine was born on June 7, 1922 in Seguin, Texas to Jesse Anderson Turner, Sr. and Edna (Halm) Turner. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seguin and a member of the Seguin Garden Club. She enjoyed music by B.B. King, and loved the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. Geraldine had a passion for her pet cockatiel birds, Itsi and Punkin. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Noel Deed Elkins and Joe Brawner, her parents, her brother, Jesse Anderson Turner, Jr. and his wife Isabel, great-nephew, Rodney John Brandenberger and special aunt, Ruby Upper Core. Survivors include her daughters, Dee Dee Burch and Gerry Brawner; granddaughter, Paige Burns and husband Eldridge; great – grandsons, Collin and Sam Burns; niece, Cindy Lynn Merrill; great-nephew, Justin Christopher Brandenberger and wife Lindsay; first cousins, John Upper and wife Barbara, Henry Upper and wife Celicia and Maxine Rank Mills and husband Henry; numerous other loving family members and friends.
