Gerhard Alfred "Butch" Lindemann, age 80 of San Antonio, formerly of Seguin, passed away on May 19, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Cannon officiating and military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post 245 in Seguin. Private interment will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Gerhard was born on September 13, 1935 in Seguin Texas to Richard Arnold and Mina Bertha (Duss) Lindemann. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Lindemann, his parents, his brother, Bennie F. Lindemann, and his sister, Sonny Smith. Survivors include his brother, Albert Lindemann and wife Aline; nieces, Kay Jordan and husband Charles, Judy Wright and husband Neil, Joy Baker, Lorie Smith and husband Randy, Beth Sellars and husband Andy, Sandy Smith and Diane Smith; great-nieces and great-nephews include Mikayla, Chandler, Megan, Jennifer, Julie, Jeremy, Chelsea and Garrett; numerous other family members and friends.
