Geri Smith age 83 of Seguin, passed away on December 5, 2009. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 from 1 to 3 P.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A memorial celebration of her life will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Lifegate Church with Rev. Ron Zeiner officiating. Interment will be private. Geri was born on May 10, 1926 in Fluvanna Texas to Lidward Arlis and Rhoda Lee Hale Haynes. Her first husband, Robert Odom, Jr., parents, brother, Phillip Haynes and sisters-in-law, Barbara and Mertie Haynes preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Smith; daughter, Sherry Lessner and husband Ron; sons, Bob Odom and wife Cindy and Dave Odom and wife Jill; grandchildren, Annette Disch and husband Chad, Ronnie Lessner and wife Kari, Evangeline Gilson and husband David, Rose Taylor and husband Derek, Kristi Odom, Kyle Odom and wife Lerin, Sarah Odom, Samuel Odom and Brett Odom; great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Ryan, Keatyn, Karsyn, Luke, Austin and Colin; brother, Harold Haynes; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Lessner, Ronnie Lessner, Kyle Odom, Samuel Odom, Chad Disch, David Gilson and Derek Taylor.
