Glenda Marie Jennings, affectionately known as "G," passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 69.

Born on October 18, 1956, to Bessie Hanselman and Glenn Wykes, Glenda lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family. She proudly served her country in the United States Army before dedicating much of her life to a career in nursing. Caring for others was more than a profession—it was her calling.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband, David Jennings; her sons, Robert Martin, Eric Nors and his husband Joseph Nors, and Michael Hembree and his husband Lance McConnell; her three cherished grandchildren; her eight beloved great-grandchildren; her brother, Donnie Hanselman and his wife, Heidi; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. She also leaves behind her faithful companions, Zoe and Zuesy, who brought her endless comfort and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Hanselman and Ralph Hanselman and Glenn Wykes; her brothers, Clifford Hanselman and Larry Hanselman; and her sister, Nancy Hanselman.

G embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved tending to her garden, spending time with her family, watching Hallmark movies, trying her luck at the casino, and living life to the fullest. She was strong, independent, kind, funny, and incredibly brave.

After a devastating fall, Glenda endured nine spinal surgeries over the years. Although her injuries limited her physically, they never diminished her spirit. She faced every obstacle with extraordinary courage and determination, refusing to let adversity define her. Her resilience inspired everyone who knew her, and she remained fiercely independent throughout her journey.

Above all else, Glenda's greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply, gave selflessly, and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, perseverance, and unconditional love. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Her son, Michael, shared these words about his mother:

"I will always remember the warmth, courage, passion, and strength that my mom brought into my life. She wasn't just my mother—she was my best friend. I will forever miss her, but I will carry her love with me every day."

Her son, Robert, shared these words about his mother:

I could write an entire book on what my mother stood for, but she believed life was based on the core values of honesty, integrity, respect and love. With those you can accomplish anything. You will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Glenda's memory.
