Glendora Valeska (Strempel) Ewald, age 84 of Seguin, passed away on March 27, 2015. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul J. Zwarich officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Glendora was born on April 13, 1930 in Galle, Texas to Paul and Valeska (Erxleben) Strempel. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Jahns, and son, Steven Ray Ewald. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Ewald; son, Gerald Ewald and wife Donna; grandchildren, Christopher Ewald and wife Melissa, Matthew Ewald and wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Jackson Ewald, Lillian Ewald, Henry Ewald, Pierce Ewald; sister, Mavis Grimm and husband Fritz; brother-in-law, Lee Jahns and wife Beth, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Boenig, Danny Ewald, Larry Grimm, Ryan Jahns, Mike Krueger, Lynn Meyer, and Alan Thompson. Glendora will be remembered for her love of family, a wonderful cook, baker, and gardener. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, MO, and watching the Spurs and RFDTV.
