Glenn Kelly was born on September 12, 1939 in Gladewater, Texas. Glenn joined the Air Force in 1960 and after serving 20 years, 3 years in Vietnam, he retired as Chief Master Sergeant, protocol equivalent to a lieutenant general. He returned to Gladewater, Texas to care for his elderly grandparents who had raised him. In 1981, after their deaths, he went to work for Frank's International in Houston, Texas. Glenn served in several executive positions, finally retiring in 2009, after 28 years in the oil and gas industry. After retirement, Glenn and his wife, Joann, retired to the Bandit Golf Community in New Braunfels, Texas. Glenn is survived by his wife, Joann, step-daughter, Laurie Baars, and her husband, Jeff Baars of Seattle, Washington, and his 4 legged daughter, Tina. Glenn embraced life on his own terms. He was a loyal and kind husband, mentor, father and friend. Glenn passed on September 21, 2018 at the age of 79 years. A Celebration of Life for Glenn will be held at the Bandit Beach Pavilion on the river at the Bandit Golf Course in New Braunfels on October 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
