Gloria Jean Davis, 73, died November 15, 2022 in Seguin, TX after an eight-year battle with breast cancer.  Jean was a native Texan, having been born in Bryan, TX on September 8, 1949 to Norman Clint and Selma Williams.  She married Lorne Arthur Davis, Jr. on July 17, 1970, and they enjoyed over 52 years together.

Her hobbies and interests included family, gardening, sewing, and reading.  Known for her delicious recipes, beautiful quilts, and unconditional love, Jean devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.  She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, belonged to the Butterfly Quilters guild, and worked with various charities.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Renee Beaty; parents, N.C. and Selma Williams; brother, Jim Williams; parents-in-law, Lorne and Mabel Davis; and brother-in-law, Alex Clark.

She was survived by her husband, Lorne A. Davis, Jr.; daughter, Gail Roberson (Gordon); son-in-law, Roberto Beaty; brother, Jessey Williams (Betty); grandchildren, Hayden, Dax and Lucinda Beaty, Lily and Milo Roberson; sister-in-law, Nancy Clark; aunt, Barbara Poehls; nieces and nephews, Derrick Williams, Crystal Villarreal (Sam), April Williams (Jeff), Natalie Miller (Ben), Deborah Mathews (Al), Jason Clark (Nicole), Susan Lister (David), Stacy Burgin (Chris); special friends, George and Helen Bousfield, George and Sarah; and great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
