Gloria Isabel (Daoust) Wheelington passed away peacefully on Friday,
September 30th, at the Willowbrook Personal Care facility under hospice care in Seguin, TX at the age of 84. Gloria is survived by her sister, Gwen Bruske (Hank), brothers William Daoust, Thomas Daoust (Faye), Charles Daoust (Emily) and Michael Daoust (Cheryl); her children Michael Wheelington (Kathy), Mark Wheelington (Dorleeta), Brenda Faust (William) and Glenda Amescua (Russell); 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Buel Wheelington, and her brothers, James Daoust (Ruth) and Daniel Daoust. Gloria was born in Alpena, MI and served in the Army where she met her husband. Gloria was a nurse at Santa Rosa Hospital for many years. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating and military honors rendered by the United States Army. You are cordially invited to the join us for a celebration of life immediately following the mass services to be held at the St. James Parish Family Center. Private burial will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
