Gracie Lea Bishop, age 84 of Nixon, passed away on February 9, 2014. Memorial services celebrating Gracie's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Smiley with Rev. Marvin Miles officiating. Interment will follow in the Nixon Cemetery. Gracie was born on November 19, 1929 in Stockdale, Texas to Jesse Lee and Bertha Francis Brister Elkins. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Barry Lee Bishop and William Earl Bishop, her parents, and her sister Jean. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, William E. (Bill) Bishop; grandchildren, Larry and Robin; great-grandchildren, Cesylea, Peyton, Shelby and Logan; numerous other loving family members and friends.
