Gregoria B. Sassenhagen, age 72 of Seguin, passed away on February 4, 2017. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Gregoria was born on September 22, 1944 in Guadalupe County to Gregorio and Porfiria (Soto) Barrientez. She is preceded in death by her son, Anthony Sassenhagen, daughter, Maria Guadalupe Sassenhagen, her parents, and her brothers, Frank Barrientez, Sr. and Gregorio Barrientez. Survivors include her husband, Felix Sassenhagen, Sr.; son, Felix Sassenhagen, Jr. and wife Norma; daughter, Priscilla Torres and husband Daniel, Jr.; brothers, Pedro "Pete" Barrientez and wife Gloria, Anastacio Barrientez and wife Olga, and Innocencio Barrientez and wife Jean; sister, Gloria Barrientez Ali and husband Nasir; sister-in-law, Oralia Barrientez; grandchildren Avriel S., Dakaetie C., Emerald, and Danielle Torres, Felicia Spadoni and husband Jason, Jorge, and Danny; great-grandchildren, Alice and Evan Spadoni; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
