Gregory Patrick Poole, age 37 of Seguin, passed away on February 25, 2012. Private family services and interment will be held at a later date. Greg was born on November 21, 1974 at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska to Lonnie Roston Poole, III and Mary Patrick Krause Poole. He grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and several years after graduating from Westover High School moved to Manassas, Virginia where he lived until moving to Texas in 2005. He attended St. Philips College in San Antonio, where he was on the Honor Roll his first semester. Greg was employed at Tyson Poultry Complex in Seguin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pat Poole and grandmothers, Mary Jo Poole and Glendora Krause. Survivors include his father, Lonnie (Skip) Poole and stepmother Melinda Poole; brothers, Brent (wife Tracy) and Scott (wife Christi) Poole; sister, Stacey (husband Scott) Teixeira; stepbrother, Ken (wife Karin) Behm; stepsister, Kelly (husband Bob) Gousset; grandfathers Lonnie R. Poole, Jr. and Harris F. Krause; sixteen nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss his gentle smile. As Greg had a lifelong love of animals, his family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, Texas, 78155-1593.
