Guadalupe "Lupe" Ramos, Jr., age 80 of Seguin, was called home by his lord and savior on October 5, 2024. Lupe was born on September 9, 1944 in Seguin, Texas to Louisa (Ramon) and Guadalupe Ramos, Sr. He was raised by his grandparents, Marcelina "Mama Grande" and Jesus Ramos.
He worked for Lay's Company, WW Transport and Standard Gypsum in McQueeney just to mention a few. On his days off he loved to go fishing, play golf, hunting, and he would spin the bowling ball like a tornado. He loved to watch sports, Cowboys and Spurs were his favorite teams. He retired about 17 years ago or so. He had many talents from working on vehicles to welding. He was the king at Bingo and lottery scratch offs.
Lupe is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Olga Ramos, his parents and grandparents, his aunts, Concepcion Garza and Aurora Lomas and his uncles, Jose, Reynol and Roy Ramos.
Immediate survivors who loved him, include sons, Jerry Ramos and wife Alina, and Terry Ramos and wife Alma; daughter, Gidget Ramos, and partner Jaime Garcia; granddaughter Brianna Herrera and husband Ruben; grandsons, Joshua Ramos and wife Crystal, and Noel Ramos and family; siblings, Jesse, Elmo and Gilbert Ramos and Doyelene Rodriguez; his Aunt Chela Rodriguez and Uncle Demeterio Ramos whom he considered as a brother and sister; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other loving family members, and friends.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9 a.m. followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. A reception will follow.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Ramos, Jaime Garcia, Ruben Herrera, and Manuel Lomas, Mariano Jaramillo, and Moses Cantu.
