Guillermo "Willie" Martin Moreno, age 59 of Smiley, passed away on December 4, 2024.  Willie was born on March 2, 1965 in Nixon, Texas to Felisitas (Martinez) and Casimiro F. Moreno.

Willie spent most of his life as a truck driver.  He enjoyed playing the drum and watching the Spurs win a basketball game.  He will be remembered as a great father and a great person, always putting his family and friends in a good mood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Irma Infante and nephew, Junior Infante.

Survivors include his son, Shawn Moreno; brothers, Mario Moreno, Ruben Moreno, and Refugio "Cuco" Moreno; sisters, Eva Garcia and Maria Bermea; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Smiley, Texas followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will follow in the Smiley Latin American Cemetery.
