Harold "Harry" John Cantu passed away on January 17, 2015. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. with Frances Luna officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. for the mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Harry was born on February 21, 1960 in Karnes City to the late Paul Cantu, Jr. and Alicia (Briones) Cantu. The family moved to Seguin when Harry was young, and he made it his home, working 24 years for CMC Steel, Inc. When he wasn't working, he could be found outside BBQing and rooting for his favorite football team, the Giants, whenever they played. He was also a devoted family man; his greatest joy being his grandchildren. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Cantu; children Christopher Urrutia (Valerie Mendoza), and Brittany Cantu; Grandchildren Matthew Mendoza, Violett Mae Maldonado, and Tallon Anthony Casas; his mother Alicia Cantu; brothers Roland Cantu (Liz), Robert Cantu, Paul Cantu III (Mary Liz); sisters Alice Herrera (Ruben), and Joan Cantu; father-in-law Roy Castillo, Sr., mother-in-law Mary Toni Castillo; brother-in-law Roy Castillo, Jr. (Deanna Saunders), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
