Harold Kraus, age 67, passed away March 10, 2015, in Seguin Texas. A memorial service, celebrating Harold's life will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Tim Bauerkemper, Jr. officiating. Private interment will be held at Monthalia Lutheran Cemetery in Gonzales County. Harold was born July 24, 1947, to Marzo and Millie (Haynes) Kraus in Wichita, Kansas. He was a longtime resident of Seguin where he worked for the city as an electrical lineman for over 20 years. Harold was also very involved in the community, volunteering as a Cub Scout leader, Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, Guadalupe County Detention Ministries, Kairos Prison Ministries. Harold was honored by Church Women United with the Human Rights Award. He was a charter member of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church where he served as a faithful usher, coffee brewer, and educational team member. Harold was preceded in death by his father Marzo Kraus. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Lynna Dullnig Kraus; mother Millie Nadine Haynes Kraus of Seguin; brother Gary Kraus and wife Susan of Grantville, KS; daughter Claire Ongstad and husband Patrick of New Braunfels, sons Edward Block of Seguin, Russell Block and wife Charlene Zvolonek of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Brian Williams, Emily Ongstad, and Alicia Ongstad; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
