Hazel Marie Walston, age 75 of McQueeney, passed away on April 21, 2022.  Hazel was born on October 16, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to Frances Virginia (Coombs) and George Clayborn Fryer.  Hazel and Louie are active members of New Life Fellowship Church.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, two brothers and step-daughter, Lou Jean Walston.

Survivors include her loving husband Louie Allen Walston; her sons, Ronald Cates and wife Angela, and Scott Cates and wife Amy; stepson, Louie Ray Walston; grandchildren, Rhett, Jordan, Krystal and Jackson; sister, Glenda Yeater; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.

Visitation will begin on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with Pastors Chris Larson, Layne Dietz and Pamela Dietz officiating.  Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery.
