Helen Herbold, age 87 of Seguin, passed away on July 18, 2017. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gregory J. Nevlud officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow in The St. James Parish Hall. Helen was born on June 7, 1930 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Alec Garden and Ora Black Garden Govett. Helen touched many lives for over 40 years in the office at Seguin High School. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and family. Hers was always a home where all were welcomed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Herbold, her parents, her step-father, Arthur Govett, and her brother, Art Govett. Survivors include her children, Mark Herbold and wife Gail, Janie Gatlin and husband Tim, Trina Uzee and husband David, and Kirk Herbold; grandchildren, Megan Stuart and husband Billy, Neal Herbold and wife Courtney, Lacy Herbold, Elyse Uzee, Camille Uzee, Skyler Herbold, Hannah Herbold, and Briley Herbold; great-grandchildren, Juliet Stuart and Autumn Stuart; sisters-in-law, Barbara Govett, Nola Kleinschmidt, Lorene Schievelbein, Estelle Illhardt and husband Carl, Bobbie Jean Herbold, Lydia Whitwell, Hazel Kutac and husband Kenneth; brother-in-law, Leroy Herbold and wife Goldie; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Neal Herbold, Wayne Garrett, Scott Garrett, Clay Harman, Vince Butler and Keith Butler. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 510 S.
