Helen Monkerud, wife of late Walter J. Monkerud, passed away on Friday June 1, 2018 at the age of 93 in Seguin, Texas. She was born on December 5, 1924 in San Antonio and moved to Chicago as a child, where she married and raised her family. Helen, a member of the Million-Dollar Club, was a very successful realtor in River Forest, IL and later in Florida where she retired in Fruitland Park. Helen is survived by her son Jim and his wife Linn of Seguin, 3 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Private interment will be with her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
