Hunter R. Mays age 67 of Seguin, passed away on October 30, 2016. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek with Pastor Anne Kolmeier officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Hunter was born on November 1, 1948 in Reading, Pennsylvania to George Alton and Paula Marie (Wieding) Mays. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Hunter was a long time employee of CMC Steel and retired from there in 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Keith Mays, Jr. Survivors include his sister, Rhonda L. Schmidt, twin brother, Keith G. Mays and wife Nancy; nieces and nephews, Eric Schmidt and wife Cheryl, William Schmidt and wife Amanda, Timothy Schmidt and wife Laura, Sherry Wiggins and husband James "Bo", and Christopher Mays and wife Amy; great-nieces and great nephews, Hayden, Emily, Parker, Mason, Hattie, Brittney, Brian Keith, and Ashtin; aunts, Marie Wieding, and Joyce Wieding; numerous cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
