Irma Pohler, age 91 of Seguin, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Irma was born on January 3, 1931 in Hancock, Texas to Alfred and Clara (Rauch) Schlather.

She worked at the Hosiery Mill in New Braunfels, then Mission Valley Mills for almost 25 years.  She then moved on to the Kyntex now Hexcel, having retired in 1996.   Irma lived in New Braunfels until 1996 and moved to Seguin due to health problems.  Irma married Fritz Simons on January 31, 1953.  They were married for 10 years when he was killed in an auto accident.  In 1969, she married Welton Pohler until his death in 2000.

Besides her husband, Irma was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda, Norma, Lola, Ora Mae and Gertrude, her brothers, Louis, Max, Bruno, Rudy and Frank as well as her parents.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Fischer and husband Keith; grandson, Jason Fischer; nieces and nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Irma was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels, Texas, joining in 1968 and in 2010 she became a member of Cross Church in Seguin.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Price officiating.  Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Fischer, Frank Pooley, Ronnie Baker, Bradley Mondin, Roger Groff, Don Simons.
