Isabel Gaytan, age 72 of Seguin, passed away on July 23, 2016. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 9:30 a.m. for the mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Isabel was born on November 1, 1943 in Guadalupe County Texas to Juan de Dios and Consuelo (Garza) Medina. She is preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Gaytan, her parents and her sister, Lydia Flores. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Rudy Gaytan; son, Jeffrey Gaytan and wife Jane; daughter, Jessica Szymanski and husband David; grandsons, Dawson Szymanski and Justin Szymanski; sisters, Diega Salinas and husband Albert, Tina Herrera and husband Alex, Janie Gutierrez, and Stephanie Ozuna and husband Alex; brother, Tony Medina and wife Sylvia; brothers-in-law, Eluterio Gaytan, Lee Gaytan and wife Lilly, George Gaytan and wife Ora, Abel Gaytan, Ruben Gaytan, and Oscar Gaytan and husband Randy; sister-in-law, Viola Vasquez and husband Frank; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert John Carrillo, Daniel Ruiz, Jr., Joseph Noel Garcia, Ronnie Gaytan, Joseph Villareal, and Nicholas Medina. Honorary pallbearers include Dawson and Justin Szymanski.
