Isabel Inez Turner, age 89 of Seguin, went to be with her Lord May 25, 2011, at New Braunfels Hill Country Hospital. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by services at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Butch Ikels officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Isabel was born to Herbert Henry (H.H.) Boenig and Hilda Mattfeld Boenig in Seguin July 22, 1921. She grew up on East Krezdorn St. attending and graduating from Mary B. Erskine School. She attended Beauty School and became a licensed Hairdresser or as she called herself a "Beauty Operator." She worked as a beauty operator during the war and at the end of the War she started dating a returning veteran who became the love of her life. She and Jesse (Jr.) Turner married on November 19, 1947. She is survived by her husband Jr. Turner; daughter, Cindy Lynn Merrill, grandson, Justin Christopher Brandenberger and wife Lindsay; sister-in-law, Geraldine Brawner; nieces, Dee Dee Burch, Gerry Brawner and Joyce Boenig Harborth and husband Kenneth; nephew, Allen Boenig and wife Gloria, numerous other loving family members and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Herbert (Sonny) Boenig and wife Peaches, grandson Rodney John Brandenberger and nephew, Bob Boenig. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Brandenberger, Ronnie Ridge, Greg Frederick, Allen Boenig, Arnaldo Munoz and John Upper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Earl, Dr. Sumit Guha, Dr. Dale Wood, E. C. Turner and Gene Smith.
