Jack E. Haecker, age 88 of Seguin, passed away on October 24, 2011. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Tres Hewell Mortuary, 165 Tor Dr. in Seguin, from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at the Seguin Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1111 College Street in Seguin, with Bishop Lonnie M. Richison officiating. Interment with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H U Wood Post 245 in Seguin will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A reception will follow at the American Legion H U Wood Post 245, 618 E. Kingsbury St. in Seguin. Jack was born on July 31, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to Joseph Paul Haecker and Clara Schwarzer Haecker Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, June Gorbet. Survivors include his loving wife Ardyth La Rene Haecker; son, Joseph Paul Haecker and wife Kathleen; four step-children, Jackie Bredehoft, Gaye Davis, Bill Lane and John Lane; brother, Cass Haecker; numerous grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
