Jacqueline "Jackie" Gayle Smith, age 59 of Schertz, formerly of Seguin, passed away on September 1, 2016. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, on Hwy 80 in Martindale, with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Jackie was born on June 8, 1957 in Del Rio Texas to James J. and Alice Fay (Luersen) Smith. She was a graduate of the Seguin High School Class of 1975. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Smith and her nephew, Matthew James Vincent. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Smith Velasquez and husband Jose; grandchildren, Paige, Kylie Fay, and Ethan Smith Zimmermann, and Peyton, Lyndon and Carter Smith Velasquez; father, James Smith; sisters, Donna Beck and Fonda Mathis and husband, Kevin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends.
