James H. (Jim) Whitehouse, age 80 of Seguin, passed away on February 23, 2009. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 12 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Kolenovsky officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Jim was born on January 26, 1929 in DuBois, Pennsylvania to John and Loretta Mae Warnick Whitehouse. Jim will be remembered as a decorated veteran having served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Culligan Water Softener Company before retiring. Jim was a member of Guadalupe Masonic Lodge A.F. & A. M. #109. His parents precede him in death. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jane Whitehouse; sons, David Whitehouse and wife, Jamie and Russ Whitehouse and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Brett Nelson and wife, Tara, Lindsey Nelson, Jenni Whitehouse and Valerie Whitehouse; brothers, John Whitehouse and Neil Whitehouse and wife, Marilyn; sister, Belva Flegle and husband, Richard; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Kent Whitehouse, Robert Spicher, Jon Hayden, Mark Jones, Lance Center, and Brett Nelson.
