Obituary

James (Jim) Lynn Leiber, 88, of Seguin, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025.  Jim Leiber was born on January 19, 1937, in Greenleaf, Kansas to Myrtle Leona (Latham) and Harry Frederick Leiber.

He met his future bride when she and her family moved in across the street from the Leiber family. Jim graduated from Greenleaf High School in 1955 and then joined the Air Force, seeking life skills. He found those skills in computer electronics and spent several years teaching pilots and maintenance personal airborne radar.

Jim married his childhood sweetheart, Glenda Lee Graham June 5, 1959.

He joined AT & T and spent a year at Bell Telephone Labs in Homedale, New Jersey, learning the latest switching and communications equipment that would serve the military for years to come. Jim was assigned to Seguin, Texas to supervise the installation of this equipment. He, at last, had found a home. Jim graduated from TLU with a degree in administrative management.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife Glenda Leiber of 62 years, brother-in-law Art Hiltgen Jr, his in laws Shirley and Art Hiltgen, Sr, a daughter, Baby Girl Leiber and his parents.

Survivors include his daughter Nicole Dietz and her husband Chad Dietz of Three Rivers, Texas; grandsons Tanner Dietz of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Colton Dietz of George West, Texas; sister Sally (Leiber) Marcum of Burbank, California

The family of James (Jim) Leiber would like to thank AVIR at Seguin, Heart to Heart Hospice of San Marcos, and Robert Frye.
