James M. "Mike" Allen, age 63 of Seguin, Texas, was called home on May 15, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Mike was born on August 27, 1953 in Corpus Christi Texas to Melvin Thomas Allen and Betty Van Meter Allen. He is preceded in death by his father, his brother, Lowell Thomas Allen, his brother-in-law, Kenneth "Kenny" Sanford and his father-in-law, Arthur Henry Burell. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Burell Allen; daughters, Jessica Allen and fiancé Braden Desormeaux, and Wendy Estess and husband James; son, Scott Watts and wife Dusty; grandchildren, Isabella Estess, Jackson Estess, John Luke Desormeaux, Arthur Henry Watts, Elijah Gonzales, Liliana Gonzales, and Madison Gonzales; mother, Betty Welch; sister, Brenda Sanford; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Burell; brother-in-law, John Burell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
