James E. Pape, age 84 of Seguin, formerly of Dewville passed away on November 24, 2010. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Good News Fellowship Church in Seguin on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. with Rev. Frank Willoughby and Rev. Michael Cowey officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Dewville Cemetery. James was born on July 30, 1926 in Bebe Texas to Edwin Arthur and Elizabeth Heil Pape. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Li Ella (Polly) Pape, his parents and his sisters Ruth Moers and Joycelyn Buckner. Survivors include his wife, Lillian S. Pape; daughter, Jamye Carrol Cowey and husband Michael; sons, William and wife Martha and Randy Paul and Brenda; step-daughter, Karen Akins and husband Terry; grandchildren, Carrolyn Kate Cowey and Michael Stacy; brothers, Anson Pape and wife Marianne and Dale Pape and wife Betty; brother-in-law, John Hoover and wife Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.
