James "Jimmy" Person, age 83 of Stockdale, passed away on March 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Stockdale, 202 S. 7th St., Stockdale, Texas, 78160, with Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Stockdale Cemetery. Jimmy was born on May 22, 1935 in Stockdale, Texas to Everett E. and Vera (Chappell) Person. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Judy Staggs Person; children, Roy Person, Tammy Olsen and husband Henry, Darla Salas, Brent Akin and Tracey Pogue, and Brad Akin and wife Leslie; grandchildren, Ashley Horwitz, Stevi Harrington and husband Jake, Dawson Akin, Matt Akin, and Mary Claire Akin; great-grandchildren, Braxton Horwitz and Grace Harrington; brother, John Tom Person and wife Bernice; sister-in-law, Jerry Penshorn and husband Jimmie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Akin, Brad Akin, Dawson Akin, Matt Akin, Steve Person and Bobby Moran. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Stockdale, P. O.
