James Arthur Rader, age 69 of Seguin, passed away on March 12, 2015 after a long and valiant battle with leukemia and has now gone on to his happy hunting grounds. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the American Legion H U Wood Post 245 in Seguin. James was born in Bandera Texas on August 9, 1945 to Raymond Ernest Rader and Ella Chipman Goodman. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired as a First Sergeant Police Officer from Texas Lutheran University after 20 years of service. He loved hunting. James will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Rose Marie Rader; son, James E. Rader and wife Josette; daughter, Sheryl Hamm and husband Clayton Mount; grandchildren, Michael Paul Hamm and wife Kelsi Klander, Bethany Ann-Marie Hamm, Glenn Thomas Hamm, Cortney Hamm, Jamie Wilder, Laura Wilder, Shawn Wilder and wife Stephanie and Leanne Wilder; great-grandchildren, Noah Paul Hamm, Coraline Wilder, Aaida Wilder and Aurora Ruth Nance; brothers, David Rader and wife Cheryl, and Albert Koehler; sisters, Pam Frost, Elizabeth Buckner, and Martha Bogart; beloved fur babies, Sheba, Zeke and Zeus; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
