Jane Ellen Kirk Whitehouse, age 88 of Seguin, passed away on September 1, 2017. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mitch Kolenovsky and Rev. Mark Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Jane was born on January 13, 1929 in Rockton, Pennsylvania to Christian Smith and Gertrude Mae (Weber) Kirk. Jane will be remembered as a long time employee of Vogue Shoes in Seguin. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years James H. (Jim) Whitehouse, her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, David Whitehouse and wife, Jamie and Russ Whitehouse and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Brett Nelson and wife Courtney, Lindsey Jonas and husband Bryan, Jenni Gardner and Valerie Whitehouse; great-grandchildren, Madison, Peyton, Eli, Paisley, and Hayden; sister, Shirley Erickson; brother-in-law, Neil Whitehouse and wife, Marilyn; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
