Janice Rushlow, age 70 of Seguin, passed away on June 14, 2011. Visitation will be at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Private interment will take place at a later date. Janice was born on December 26, 1940 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Clifford R. Thompson and Josephine F. Ackley Thompson. Janice will be remembered as a Thai Chi instructor, arts and crafts enthusiast and as a selfless, kind and giving person who was willing to help in anyway she could. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rushlow, Sr. and her parents. Survivors include her sons, Tom Rushlow, Jr., and Joseph R. Rushlow and wife Kim; daughter, Wendy A. Berkstresser; grandchildren, Chris Rushlow and wife Melody, Heather Kaye, Aaron Berkstresser, Isabella Briseno, Joseph Rushlow and Addisyn Rushlow; great-grandchildren, Danica and Harley; brother, Dale A. Thompson; sister, Dottie Thompson-Strohl; nieces, Kary and Paula; special friend, Keith Brown; numerous other loving family members and friends. To celebrate Janice's life, the family requests that all attending services wear bright clothes and come happy.
