Janie G. Herrera, age 83 of Guadalupe County, passed away on November 13, 2015. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, at 5 p.m. followed by a prayer service and recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Janie was born in Guadalupe County on March 28, 1932 to Cresencio and Rita (Garcia) Galvan. Her parents and numerous brothers and sisters precede her in death. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Francisco "Frank" Herrera; children, Stanley Herrera and wife Jamie Jean, Leonard Herrera and wife Gina, Mary Ann Garcia and husband Hector, Frank Herrera, Jr., and wife April Fuqua-Herrera, and Michael "Mike" Herrera and partner Virginia Bugai; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Cresencio Galvan, Jr. and wife Josie; sisters, Tina Morales and husband Carlos, Francis Galvan, Inez Hernandez and husband Tony, Josie Luna, and Modesta Mercado; sister-in-law, Josefa Moya; brothers-in-law, Mario Herrera and wife Stella and Jaime "James" Herrera; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jason Herrera, Francisco Herrera III, Carson Jaye Herrera, Ryan Lane Herrera, Vanessa Herrera, Mariah Faith Herrera, Patricia Noreen Herrera, Reagan Herrera, Allison Moffett, Taylor Herrera, and Scarlett Rose Herrera.
