Janie C. Suarez, age 92 of Seguin, passed away on June 25, 2011. Visitation will begin on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 5:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. for Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery. Janie was born on June 24, 1919 in Maxwell, Texas to Jesus and Maria Sanchez Castillo. She will be remembered as the owner and operator of Janie's Beauty Shop for over 40 years in Seguin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Suarez, her parents and her sister, Avelina Lozano. Survivors include her sons, John Suarez and wife Elida and Rene Suarez; grandchildren, John Carlos Suarez and wife Monica and Andrea Barrientes and husband Ed; great-grandchildren, Andrew Suarez and Christian Barrientes; siblings, Virginia Miranda, Concepcion Castillo and wife Janie, Jesse Castillo, Angelita Castillo and Mary Castillo; several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be John Carlos Suarez, Ed Barrientes, Richard Lozano, Steven Lombard, Marcos Castillo and Miguel Maldonado.
