Javier G. Cervantes, age 56 of Seguin, passed away on June 20, 2014. Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 5 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jesse Navarro officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Javier was born on January 23, 1958 in Peidras Negras, Mexico to Dionicio M. and Victoria (Gonzalez) Cervantes. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria del Refugio Cervantes, his father, and his brothers, Juan and Jesus Gomez. Survivors include his children, Andrea Favela, Corina Garcia, Adriana Castillo, Julia Cervantes, Javier Cervantes, Jr., Joe Cervantes, Javier Cervantes, Joe Angel Cervantes, Germaine Grant and Henry Grant; mother, Victoria Cervantes; sister, Manuela Navarro; brother, Ricardo Cervantes; numerous other loving family members.
