Jean Walker passed away on Friday morning, December 5, 2014, after a long illness. She was born on December 27, 1942, in Edinburg and lived most of her life in the Rio Grande Valley. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Beckett, her niece, April Franzen, and her nephew, Jim Beckett. Other survivors include her great nephew and nieces, Jimmy and Emma Beckett and Kaylee Franzen. Jean will be remembered for her cheerful attitude and the ability to overcome obstacles. She loved to tell stories and to make us laugh. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 2:00 P. M. at Valley Memorial Gardens, Mission.
