Jeanette Emma Matheaus, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on July 13, 2023. Jeanette was born in Guadalupe County, Texas on December 17, 1940, to Hilda (Borchers) and Gustaf Haberle.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Matheaus, her parents, her 2 sisters, Elmira and Hilda and her brother Gussie.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Matheaus (Juliane), and Mike Matheaus (Monica); grandchildren, Kayla Jarzombek (Edward), Kacie Anoil (Frank), Karlie Stidham (Haeden), Gabrielle Alanis, Felipe Alanis; great-granddaughters, Charlotte June Jarzombek and Kollyns Jayne Jarzombek; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Gentry (Johnny); numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Cross Church with the Rev. Jim Price officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.  Private interment will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Krueger, Duane Krueger, Greg Krueger, Byron Krueger, Tommy Haberle, Edward Jarzombek, and Haeden Perrenot.
